My father, Richard Williams, worked with many of those named above--it's nice to see that all are being remembered for their contributions to modern American music.

What Becomes a Legend Most?
Question: What becomes a legend most? Answer: Being honored as such on the "Queens: Home
to Jazz Legends" wall at Air Train JFK/Jamaica Train Station. Although I sometimes jokingly refer to myself as a "simple country girl from Brooklyn," having been born there, I was actually raised in Jamaica, Queens, home of many jazz legends, like Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Count Basie, Milt Hinton, Illinois Jacquet, and Charles McPherson.
